Via Airlines announced today new non-stop flights from Austin, Texas to Tulsa.
The service will commence on May 6, 2018 with flights operating daily Sunday to Friday on a schedule that is conducive to both business and leisure travel.
“Austin is an amazing, fast-growing city,” said Matthew Macri, Via Airlines vice president of operations. “Via Airlines takes pride in being the airline of the hospitality industry. When flying with us you are our Guest, not just a passenger”, added Macri.
“We look forward to welcoming Via Air to Tulsa in May,” said Tulsa International Airport CEO, Mark VanLoh. “The addition of daily nonstop service to Austin will further enhance the connection between our two cities and give our passengers one more reason to fly from Tulsa.”
“Today’s announcement establishes an exciting direct connection between Tulsa and another city known for its arts and culture: Austin, Texas,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said. “I am thankful for the team at Via Air for making this investment in our city, and can’t wait to use this new option for air travel.”
Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust Chair and Tulsa’s Future Chair, Jeff Stava said, “Tulsa businesses have recently ranked Austin as the top regional destination for new air service. Thank you Via Air for connecting our cities and for choosing to grow in Tulsa.”
