TULSA, OK – May 6, 2021 – Tulsa International Airport is excited to partner with Amazon as the company today announced plans to build a 270,000 sq. ft. sortation facility on property adjacent to the airport and Highway 169. The facility will be completed in late 2021, and located at North Mingo Ave. between 36th St. N. and Apache Blvd. The project will be Amazon’s third large investment in Tulsa, following the 2.5 million sq. ft. fulfillment center that opened in August 2020.

Amazon’s new 40-acre facility is the latest addition to the airport industrial complex, which includes 4,900 acres of the city’s largest aviation, logistics, and transportation providers. With nearly seven hundred acres of property available for industrial development, the airport is strategically developing parcels based on developers’ needs and intended use. Two hundred acres located in the airport’s North Development Area have direct access to the airfield, suitable for hangar development, maintenance, repair, and overhaul work, or a variety of other uses. The Mingo Development Area offers 305 acres between 36th St. N. and 46th St. N. along Mingo Road and has immediate access to Highway 169 and the industrial corridor surrounding the area.
Current tenants located on airport property include Spirit AeroSystems, American Airlines Tech Ops-Tulsa, the Oklahoma Air National Guard, Lufthansa Technik, L3Harris, FedEx, and BizJet International.
