Southwest Airlines Announces New Non-Stop Service to Chicago Midway

TULSA, OK – November 19, 2012 – Southwest Airlines announced today their plans to offer new, non-stop service between Tulsa and Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) beginning April 15, 2013.  The airline is the first to offer non-stop service to Midway, the largest airport in Southwest’s network with over 235 daily departures.


Southwest Airlines is Tulsa’s largest carrier and has a 30+ year history of serving Tulsa area travelers.  TUL’s Airport Director, Jeff Mulder is pleased to see the added capacity and additional options for our market.  “Midway will provide our customers with an expansive network of connecting opportunities to the northeast and convenient access to one of our nation’s largest cities,” Mulder said. 


The new flight will operate daily utilizing Boeing 737 aircraft.  The flight will depart from Tulsa at 11:45 AM Sunday-Friday and 6:25 AM on Saturday.
